So above is a little quote from a "Live Event" I just setup. What is a Live Event? Think eVite but a bit more polished.  It is, of course, a new app from live.com that seems to be totaly awsome.  I don't plan that many events (Sarah usally takes care of that) but this was really ease and fun.  You can't see my event if your not on "the list" but i've got a map(map.live.com - not interactive but links to interactive) to the event's location, weather, links to add the event to your calendar (Outlook, Apple iCal, Yahoo! Calendar and Google Calendar) also a photo album that I, or anyone, can post pics from the event durring/after the fact.  There is a bunch of other stuff I can add but didn't.  Anywho, that is a supper brief summary of my first events.live.com experience.

So the Live teams are at it again...

Don't like using the web editor on your blog, not cool enough for you?  Check out Live Writer.  Thick client (think Word) blog editor from Microsoft.  "Joe, that sounds cool, but is it just for Live Spaces?"  Nope, so far it supports "Blogger, LiveJournal, TypePad, WordPress (and many others)."

So is it cool?  Seems to be so here is a random picture of my wife and me out on a boat in Lake Michigan.  In the background you can see the shore line of Chicago.  So inline inserting pictures is pretty easy and neat looking.  Live Writer added that drop shadow you see under the pic.

Okay, so I can supposedly add a map to this entry....lets give it a try.

 Allright, so I woke up kinda early this morning and sat down infront of the computer to figure what we were going to do today.  Weather looks good maybe some disc golf?  Okay, if a little dg is in order where shall we play....Avon?  My boss lives out in Avon and says its a great course.  Cool, where exactly is it....the Professional Disc Golf Association course directory can help.  The written directions on how to get there are good but why can't I get exact directions?!?!?!? Grrrr.  Okay I'll do it my self....thanks local.live.com.

So here it is, my Live Local collection of Disc Golf courses in the Indianapolis Metro and Greater Lafayette areas.  Which you should be able to get driving directions to those courses.  BTW I'm only listing FREE PUBLIC courses.  As I feel DG should always be free!!! And public cause I didn't want to post (and keep up to date) info on the private contact to play those courses.
